Today is the Sunday Session of General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or the Mormons. The official name of the church is stated above. The reasons we are the Mormons is because along with a belief in the Bible we also believe in the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. He is a record of prophets who lived on the American Continent and their testimonies of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon describes Jesus Christ visiting the American continent and establishing his church and gospel there.
General Conference is a gathering of Mormons to hear the words of the modern day prophets and what they have to say about Jesus Christ and how we can improve our lives to more closely follow him.
